The Gasser Law Firm uses supervised paralegals when, and only when, it is appropriate to do so. Many firms maximize profits by having Associates perform work that is better suited to paralegals in order to generate more income, and some firms bill paralegals’ work at an attorney’s rate. The Gasser Law Firm does things differently. When there are tasks that are best handled by paralegals such as preparing discovery responses, issuing subpoenas, abstracting medical records for completeness, etc. there is no rational reason why a client should be charged an attorney’s rate to perform the work. We do not condone this practice. At the Gasser Law Firm we provide our services based on the most qualified professional able to perform the task in a cost effective manner.
